Mechnical Equipments - Roller Apron Assembly


1	Function	Uniform cooling of the hot strand.
2	Location	Inside the cooling chamber along casting radius.
3	Design/Construction	Tiltable unit of welded steel construction made in two parts, top portion being removable type for maintenance purpose. Tubular frame, curved to the casting machine radius (6 Meters). Supported in the cooling chamber by a fixed pivot from the machine foundation a the bottom and connected at intermediate platform level to the structure and having retractable dummy bar at the top. The rollers on the inside radius are adjustable, following the section to be cast Steel tubes bracketed to the outside radius to support the dummy bar.
